Ingredients
  

  • 6 Bramley apples
  • 200 g unsalted butter
  • 140 g raisins
  • 100 g soft brown sugar
  • 200 g gluten-free self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp gluten-free baking powder
  • 4 Eggs

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven to  180C (160) fan
  • Grease a large baking dish of 2.5 litres with butter and tip in the apples
  • Sprinkle over the raisins
  • Beat the butter and sugar together until they become pale and the sugar begins to dissolve
  • Beat in the eggs and fold in the flour
  • Spread the batter evenly over the apples
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden
  • Serve with custard
