6 Bramley apples 200 g unsalted butter 140 g raisins 100 g soft brown sugar 200 g gluten-free self-raising flour 1 tsp gluten-free baking powder 4 Eggs
Heat the oven to 180C (160) fan
Grease a large baking dish of 2.5 litres with butter and tip in the apples
Sprinkle over the raisins
Beat the butter and sugar together until they become pale and the sugar begins to dissolve
Beat in the eggs and fold in the flour
Spread the batter evenly over the apples
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden
Serve with custard
